Shah Rukh, Kajol to ring opening bell at NASDAQ

BOLLYWOOD actors Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have been invited to ring the opening bell of leading American Stock Exchange, NASDAQ on February 1, 2010.

The actors will be promoting their movie, "My Name Is Khan" as they ring the opening bell of NASDAQ.

They will ring the bell on behalf of Fox Searchlight Pictures, which is the company behind distributing their upcoming film, "My Name Is Khan" in the US market.

The event will be broadcasted live on many television networks across the globe. This has been touted as one of the rarest promotional event for any Bollywood film. NASDAQ has about 3,700 listed companies.

“This prestigious event is usually reserved for CEOs of major corporations and is broadcast live on many television networks across the globe,” Indian promoters of the movie in the US said.

Meanwhile in India the movie is raking controversy as Sena workers burnt effigies of Shah Rukh Khan threatening more violence if the movie “My Name is Khan” is released in Mumbai.

Brad Pitt Angelina Jolie giggle, bust split rumors at DGA

THE WORLD’S most famous split story has been quashed – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are together, and seemingly very happy and in no mood to split! Jennifer Aniston can surely postpone her partying plans.

Brad and Angelina who were rumoured to have consulted lawyers to decide custody of their six children and their £205million fortune split proved they were still very much an item as they attended the Directors Guild of America Awards in Los Angeles.

While the two declined to pose together on the red carpet, the couple were seen being 'extremely affectionate' as they mingled with their peers. Pitt had been invited to the ceremony to present an award to Inglourious Basterds director Quentin Tarantino.

Jolie wasn't expected to join Pitt at the event however she surprised everyone by making a last minute appearance.

Brad Pitt sported his recently acquired ‘beard look’ but had his mane trimmed a bit.
Sources said that the couple looked absolutely at peace with each other and they migled with other directors and actors with great affection.

Their appearance at the DGA Awards came as a surprise because they have stayed away from the awards circuit this season.

The whole split rumor had started with a news that Brad and Angelina had a meeting with a top law firm in LA in December, where they worked out terms of a legal document to split their assets.

The couple have reportedly signed the document and agreed to share their money and assets and custody of their six children, all of whom would live with Angelina in the event of their parents’ breakup.

The rumor of Brangelina splitting up was further fuelled by reports that Brad had bought himself a ‘bachelor pad’ in Hollywood hills to stay away from Jolie.

Beyonce duels Taylor Swift at 52nd Grammy Awards

LOS ANGELES — R&B superstar Beyonce was preparing to battle country star Taylor Swift at the 52nd Grammy Awards here Sunday as stars descended on Los Angeles for the music industry's equivalent of the Oscars.

Beyonce heads a star-studded field of contenders with 10 nominations going into Sunday's extravaganza at the Staples Center, just ahead of the precocious 20-year-old Swift, who has eight.

Beyonce has nominations in the coveted record of the year and album of the year categories, for her single "Halo" and her chart-topping double-album "I Am ... Sasha Fierce." The former "Destiny's Child" singer is also nominated in the song of the year category.

But Beyonce is likely to face fierce competition in the major categories from Swift, as well as eccentric pop star Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas, who all have nominations in the best album, record and song categories.

The televised main section of the show gets under way at 5:00 pm local time (0100 GMT) but more than 100 awards in junior categories will be handed out over the course of Sunday's pre-show, which begins at around 1:00 pm.

Trailing Beyonce and Swift in overall nominations are the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Kanye West with six nods each.

Swift, who enjoyed success last year at the American Music Awards and Country Music Awards, has rocketed to fame over the past two years.

Nielsen SoundScan reported earlier this month that Swift was the top-selling digital artist in music history with over 24.3 digital tracks to date.

Grammy chief Neil Portnow has praised Swift as a "phenomenon in entertainment." "She crosses so many genres and generations. She?s really struck a chord with people because her music is so honest," Portnow said.

Sunday's show is the first Grammy Awards since Michael Jackson's death last year and is expected to feature an extended tribute to the late "King of Pop."

The tribute will include a 3-D film clip made before his death as well as performances from Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson and Usher. Jackson will also be honored with a lifetime achievement award during the show.

Meanwhile, in the record of the year race, Beyonce's "Halo" will go up against Black Eyed Peas's pop track "I Gotta Feeling", the Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody," Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and Swift's "You Belong with Me."

The nominees for song of the year, awarded to the songwriters, are Lady Gaga's "Poker Face," Maxwell's "Pretty Wings," Beyonce's No.1 single "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)," Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" and Swift's "You Belong with Me.

The best rock album nominees, meanwhile, comprise AC/DC's "Black Ice," "Live From Madison Square Garden" by Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood, "21st Century Breakdown" by Green Day, "Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King" by the Dave Matthews Band and "No Line on the Horizon" by U2.

Bollywood actress Genelia D'Souza, who shot to fame with "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na", has joined Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor in signing up as the face of a fairness cream brand.

She will now endorse Garnier's new product Garnier Light, said a press release from the firm.

Deepika is the brand ambassador of Johnson & Johnson's new fairness cream Neutrogena Fine Fairness, while Bollywood hunk John Abraham endorses Garnier Men fairness cream. Sonam Kapoor is the face of L'Oreal white perfect and last year Katrina Kaif was signed up as the face for Olay's skin whitening cream.

Actresses like Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu have spoken against fairness creams as they feel it generates discrimination on the basis of skin colour.

Madonna, Britney smooch voted kiss of the decade

Pop divas Madonna and Britney Spear's infamous smooch at the MTV Video Music Awards 2003 has been voted the top kiss of the decade.

The two superstars made headlines around the world after they puckered up at the annual ceremony and British department store Selfridges has branded the kiss the most iconic of the first 10 years of the new millenium, reports starpulse.com.

While Tobey Maguire's passionate liplock with Kirsten Dunst in 2002s "Spider-Man" came second in the rundown, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal's slow-burning snog in "Brokeback Mountain" in 2005 was named third.

Everyone should experiment with porn

Mariah Carey recently proved that she could be a prankster too—the crooner left hubby Nick Cannon stunned when she called his radio show and acted like a porn-crazy woman.

The singer introduced herself as Debbie from Long Island during the prank phone call to the New York show Rollin With Nick Cannon on 92.3 NOW FM.

Then she declared that she was a fan of adult films and went on to list their benefits.

"Me and my husband have a very good time when we watch porn and I don''t think it''s bad. I think if it was bad it wouldn''t exist! And I think that everyone should experiment with porn!” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"I mean Nick, come on, you know you look at porn! Tonight when me and my husband look at porn, I already know it''s gonna be a humdinger!" she added.

Cannon soon caught on and quickly announced, "Ladies and gentleman, this is how hilarious my wife is. This is Mariah Carey calling the station talking about porn!"

Carey joked, "I don''t even know what you''re talking about! All I''m saying is stop talking bad about porn!"

Chance Pe Dance

If you want to be successful, you must either have a chance or take one. With a star like Shahid as a bosom pal, Ken Ghosh had it but with the film like this, Kapoor took one and the result is hardly pleasing.

Chance Pe Dance is a story of archetypal Dilli guy Sameer (Shahid Kapoor) who leaves his home town to become a star in Bollywood. He is confident to break into the top league because every aunty in town, including his mom, has been telling him that he's a bundle of talent with killer looks- the only two prerequisites to become a Hero.

But then Shah Rukh Khans are not made everyday. So, poor Sam has to do rather embarrassing things like lungi ads to eke out his existence at his ‘parsi-monious’ tenement.

Going into auditions after auditions he has mastered the skill of saying, “Hi, I'm Sameer Behl and my number is…” but life in Mumbai without a grand daddy is not easy and getting a break, virtually impossible.

His chances are stolen by others, his friends betray him and his landlord throws him out. He is rendered penniless stays in his car for days before he gets a job at a school and some emotional-cum-romantic support from a scooty-riding spirited choreographer Tina (Genelia D’souza).

After his initial I-hate-kids attitude, Sam finds his solace by making the teenage underdogs of school the dance champs of the city.

Eventually, he gets his biggest break as well but only to be matched by the biggest betrayal. Now he has no way but to enter the talent hunt like thousands of other contestants and emerge a winner to fulfill his dream... and our nightmare.

It is a film like Chance Pe Dance that separates a Ken Ghosh from a Farhan Akhtar and Ashutosh Gowariker who actually spend so much time (esp. Ashu :-)) penning the details and seldom leave anything to ‘chance’.

In times when flicks run on their taut and realistic storyline, Ken makes his Sameer Behl enter a talent show and eventually pronounces him a winner in an eight-pack flashing jig with virtually no competition whatsoever.

It is Ghosh’s decrepit script and predictable plot that make even Shahid’s otherwise sincere performance go down the drain. Shasha, however, as Sam the struggler tries hard to lend authenticity to his character and succeeds as well.

Genelia is as bright and breezy as ever but hardly displays her choreography skills. Alas, for her the film never picks up just like her scooty that perpetually runs on 30km/hr.

Despite being a musical, Pritam, Adnan Sami, Ken Ghosh and Sandeep Shirodkar’s work is a big let down.

The dance sequences are choreographed by Marty Kudelka, who has also directed moves of stars like Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and N'Sync. Our Shahid also does well on the dance floor in certain sequences but chance favours only the prepared minds and Ken Ghosh was certainly not prepared when he was making this film.

Rann

Think. Really hard. What are we all doing with the opportunities that life so generously provides us?

In the mad mindless rush towards self-gratification, are we somewhere sacrificing those values that brought us, kicking dragging and sacrificing from a hard-earned freedom from colonialism to the new millennium where we, the collective civilization, are now poised at the brink of a moral disintegration?

Rann is that rare cinema about the collective conscience which we often like to think has gone out of style. Like Mehboob Khan’s Mother India and Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Satyakam, Rann shows how tough it is to hold your head high up in dignified righteousness in a world where ethics crumble faster than cookies in wide-open jar leftv out too long in the sun.

Ironically there isn’t much sunshine in Rann. The film has been shot in an anaemic light, symbolizing a world that’s largely losing light.

Cleverly, Ram Gopal Varma situates his morality tale in the cut-throat world of the electronic media where the TRP is God, and deadlines the devil. And may the voice of the conscience rest in peace.

Without fuss or wastage of time Varma introduces us to the plethora of characters who colonize the bowel of a declining channel run by the idealistic Vijay Harshvardhan Malik (Amitabh Bachchan) who believes there’s room still for the straight and narrow path in a business where grabbing attention is the murder of all invention.

Varma plunges us into the world of the characters that he knows only too well. The glistening sweat on ratings-challenged eyebrows are captured through tight close-ups of worried faces that the camera (Amit Roy’s sharply cruising lenses moving from face to face with obstinate restlessness) that give nothing and yet everything away.

The swirling swarm of characters reading, reporting creating and even manufacturing news, are so normal in their workaday concerns we almost miss the underbelly of moral anomaly that has become a way of life in present times.

As in Varma’s Sarkar the moral battle lines in the media-run tale of Rann are drawn between the idealistic patriarch and his US-returned hyper-ventilating son Jai (Kannada star Sudeep) who is so nervous anxious and ambitious, you know he will eventually cause trouble for his ideologue dad’s news-worthiness.

Trouble arrives in the flabby form of a seedy politician Pandey (Paresh Rawal, re-embracing villainy with lip-smacking relish) who plunges into the TRP war on television with no sense of propriety, legalese or the law.

“The law is made by people like us to protect people like us from being convicted, ” Pandey pompously tells Jai before they both conspire with the help of a rival television tycoon (Mohnish Behl) to trash the idealistic Harshvardhan’s reputation.

The plot accommodates more characters that a miniature touristic island in the holiday season (sans the sun). Not one of the characters need any explanation or occupy a superfluous place in the plot.

The narrative is taut restless and biting in its depiction of corruption in supposedly responsible places.

The artful opposition of real and doctored news is planted into the storytelling with no triumphant flourish. Varma’s concern for the characters he puts on screen is genuine but non-judgemental.

While much of film’s inner fire burns outwards from the pithy and peppery writing (Rohit Banawlikar) the essential core of idealism is preserved in the understated relationship between the idealistic young rookie Purab Shastri (Ritesh Deshmukh, eschewing comedy to come up with restrained and pacifying performance) and his mentor Harshvardhan. Wish this bonding was built on.

As restless as his camera, Ram Gopal Varma gives no space to the complicated labyrinth of relationships to grow. We are left to gauge the depths and dimensions that underline the furious flow of empathy and antipathy between various characters by reading between the lines.

The first two-thirds of the narrative creates a gripping patchwork of television, drama and politics and how the three worlds often come together to destroy the basic fibre of human morality.

It’s the last quarter of the narrative where Harshvardhan, after realizing he has been taken for a ride by his own son’s over-ambitiousness, that packs in the maximum punch.

Here Varma and his scriptwriter effortlessly shift the focus from one specific area of troubled activity (the television) to comment on the compromised quality of contemporary life.

Cleverly borrowing the premise for its climax from Mehboob Khan’s Mother India, Rann moves aggressively but confidently into its passionate finale where the patriarchal television tycoon must expose some harsh home- truths to cleanse his own conscience. Love for the country can never get dated when Mr Bachchan is around. Even in a world as devoid of human values as shown in this film.

Rann is a razor-sharp bitter and biting look at the real world of rapidly-moving moral issues. Varma extracts superlative performances from the entire cast.

From Ritesh Deshmukh’s heartbreaking idealism to Neetu Chandra’s part as Jai Malik’s secret Muslim love interest (the way Jai conceals her Muslim identity from family and friends is disturbing and amusing), they all know what the director and his writer have set out to do.

As expected Amitabh Bachchan as the conscience of the plot, presides over the speeedened proceedings with a thoughtful and gentle performance. His climactic speech makes all of us sit up and think about the quality of work we do in order to keep up with the competition.

Luckily Mr Bachchan’s consistently excellent output is never dependant on the ‘competition’ around him. Ironically his character is forced to stoop in order to conquer the TRPs. Ram Gopal Varma who has been lately guilty of making fairly compromised films, rises above the morass of mediocrity with a meteoric force, letting other filmmakers know what he is capable of achieving if he sets his heart to it.

Rann defines the role of the electronic media in today’s context with remarkable virility and dramatic force. This is Ram Gopal Varma’s best work since Company.

Former topless model Katie Price to take a dip in holy river Ganga?

British celebrity Katie Price reportedly has shown a interest in spiritual trip to holy river Ganga in India.

According to reports, Katie (Katrina Amy Alexandria Alexis Infield Price), 31, has shown interest in taking a dip in Ganga, spiritual visit to India, evolving a new persona through spiritualism, cleansing her soul, finding her true self, visiting holy sites and temples of India, and finding inner peace. Affleck unhappy with wife's confession

Hollywood actor Ben Affleck is not too pleased with the recent revelation his wife actress Jennifer Garner has made about him wooing her with seductive mails.

The Pearl Harbour star is having to field questions in interviews ever since Garner confessed to Parade magazine that Affleck had pursued her online and that he is "sexy and kind" and a "very persuasive writer".

The candid comments have left the 37-year-old actor cringing, who is not comfortable with questions about his personal emails, Access Hollywood reported.

"I do write emails to my wife, that is true. Sounds like the kind of thing that my wife was looking for something to say in the interview and that's what she came up with," said Affleck.

"So, thanks for that, because now here I am, doing another interview and then they ask me about that. So, thank you honey," he added.

Edge of Darkness

The ability to get angry on screen — to really light a fire with your fury — has been a defining characteristic of more than a few great movie stars (Humphrey Bogart, Jack Nicholson, Clint Eastwood, Russell Crowe). It's not a trait you really choose, either; it's one that chooses you. Mel Gibson was one of the chosen from the moment he first came to international prominence in Mad Max (1980). As Max, the cop–turned–two-lane-blacktop vigilante, he was a cocky kid in leather pants, just enjoying the ride, but when he cuffed a bad guy to an explosive, handed him a hacksaw, and said that he'd have just enough time to saw through his own ankle, Gibson established himself as a cold-eyed avenger who could bring an audience's blood to a righteous, happy boil. He's unleashed that rage countless times since, in Braveheart and Ransom and the Lethal Weapon films; even his infamous tabloid tirade showed us the dark demons of a star who'd made a point of revealing his demons on screen. So when you go to see Edge of Darkness, the new political revenge thriller starring Gibson as a Boston cop investigating his daughter's murder, you know who you're really waiting to see: Mad Mel.

Gibson looks older now, still lean and handsome but with cracked-leather skin and haunted eyes that give him a touch of Boris Karloff world-weariness. Early on, Gibson's Tom Craven picks up his daughter, Emma (Bojana Novakovic), at the train station and brings her to his home, but something is wrong: She keeps getting sick, and when they walk out the door to go to a doctor, a masked gunman blows her away. The authorities assume that the bullet was meant for her father, but Craven, a clean cop (he doesn't even drink), knows that it wasn't, and he sets about uncovering the life of the daughter he'd kept at arm's length.

Emma was a research assistant at Northmoor, a privately owned nuclear facility that looks like a cross between MIT and a James Bond villain's lair (the director, Martin Campbell, is the veteran Bond helmer who made Casino Royale and GoldenEye). It's the sort of place that can't be up to anything but dirty deeds done for maximum
profit. Edge of Darkness is based on a British miniseries from 1985 (Campbell was its director), but as compressed and updated by screenwriters William Monahan (The Departed) and Andrew Bovell, it's just a conventional, divertingly propulsive, borderline boilerplate corporate-high-jinks thriller.

Gibson speaks in a dry Boston accent and really gets the gruff, blunt working-class Boston Irish 'tude behind those inflections. Every time he interrogates someone, it's a nifty self-contained face-off, with Craven, an instinctive tactician, playing every suspect and witness just so. His daughter's boyfriend (Shawn Roberts), who knows but won't say what she was up to, needs to be slapped around a bit — and so he is. The head of Northmoor, played by Danny Huston with his trademark widow's peak and amphibian leer (a more decadent echo of his father John Huston's), speaks in silky euphemisms, as he and Gibson engage in tasty power stare-downs. With each new scene, Craven's fuse burns a little shorter and hotter. Meeting the leader of Nightflower, a cult of leftist agitators who broke into Northmoor's top secret facility, he asks the dude to take off his glasses, then bashes him in the face. The efficiency of the brutality turns the moment into vicious comedy.

Edge of Darkness has nervous whistle-blowers, sleazy politicians out to protect their puppeteers, and hitmen who drive an anonymous black van that might as well be marked ''The Hitmen's Anonymous Black Van.'' The picture also has Ray Winstone, with his ironic Cockney civility, as a sinister government cleanup artist so oblique about his loyalties that he often seems to be on the side of the people he's strong-arming. What the film doesn't have is a political revelation we give a fig about. The more that Edge of Darkness reveals about the Corruption of America, the less it seems like anything but a conspiracy-of-the-week excuse to get Mel Gibson hot under the collar. His slow-burn fury keeps the movie going, but not enough to invest us in any justice beyond payback.

'Avatar' beats 'Titanic' as worldwide box office leader

James Cameron really is King of the World; the 55-year old director is now the proud papa of the top two highest-grossing movies ever. Twentieth Century Fox announced today that Avatar has crossed Titanic’s worldwide box office gross of $1.843 billion on Monday and now holds the global box office record of $1.859 billion. Most of the credit for the film’s success has to be given to its phenomenal performance in 3-D, which accounts for 80% of the film’s domestic box-office gross. Avatar still needs another $45 million to cross Titanic’s domestic gross of $600 million, a feat that will be achieved in the next two weeks. It’s rather amazing that Titanic held its record for so long considering ticket prices have obviously risen since the film debuted in 1997 and grosses are not adjusted for inflation. Don’t expect Avatar to drop off anytime soon. With the film falling only 20% every weekend, its likely to remain in theaters for many weeks to come.

Saint John of Las Vegas

With stars like Steve Buscemi and Sarah Silverman and big-fish producers such as Spike Lee and Stanley Tucci on board, you'd think this indie would offer some glimmer of wit or originality. Think again. Saint John of Las Vegas, writer-
director Hue Rhodes' excruciatingly awful feature debut, is a shaggy road movie to nowhere. An uncharacteristically bland Buscemi plays a gambling addict/insurance-fraud investigator who stumbles across a series of ''quirky'' characters (a stripper in a wheelchair, a gun-crazy nudist, and a human-fireball carny) while trying to debunk a claim. Sound painful? You didn't have to sit through it, pal.

Legion

Remember that passage in the Book of Revelation when the archangel Michael kills a bunch of possessed, tiny-dentured zombie types with a machine gun at a rundown desert diner owned by Dennis Quaid? Us neither. Still, that's pretty much the entire plot of this dull horror movie. The problem lies not with any lack of interest on the part of the B-lister-filled cast. Paul Bettany sells the hell — or, perhaps, the heaven — out of his gun-toting angel and Adrianne Palicki from Friday Night Lights is convincing enough as the heavily pregnant mother he has defied God's orders to protect. Meanwhile, Kate Walsh deserves some sort of medal, or another zero on her paycheck, for gamely portraying a woman who, in one of the film's more memorable sequences, narrowly escapes being dissolved by pus. Alas, after a brisk start, the script turns out to be a rough and humorless beast slouching its way towards utter ludicrousness. "The future has been unwritten!" intones Bettany at one point. But there are times when Legion barely seems to have been written at all.

Couple sign 205m pound split deal

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may soon part ways. The couple have apparently seen divorce lawyers and agreed to sign a £205-million split deal.

The pair will have joint custody of the kids, but all six could live full-time with the Original Sin actress.

“The document was signed in early January. Both Brad and Angelina had signed it,” the News of the World quoted a source as saying.

The insider added, “The contract was like a tailor-made version of a pre-nuptial agreement except for an unmarried couple’s split. It seemed clear they want the world to know they’ll both play a part in the upbringing of the children.

But Angelina will actually live with them full-time. There’s no date for when the contract would come into effect. But the paperwork is already organised for a break-up — and for it to be as unmessy for them as possible. It is clear it’s a case of when they break up rather than if.”

The lawyer in charge of the proceedings is reportedly based in Beverly Hills and is widely regarded as “the best in the business”.

Jolie had said last month to German magazine Das Neue, “Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.

I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.”

Pitt started dating Jolie after splitting with Jennifer Aniston in January 2005.

Catherine Zeta Jones misses walking naked

Hollywood actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas and their children are struggling to adapt to their new life in New York because they can't walk around naked all the time.

The family have relocated from tropical Bermuda to New York while Zeta-Jones stars in Broadway show "A Little Night Music" and the British actress concedes she is having to adjust to a new way of life in the big city, reported contactmusic.com.

"In Bermuda, the children were like naked, opening the back door. So was I. Just running out into the garden. It's really hard to do that in Central Park," she said.

Kylie Minogue blasts lesbian rumours

Singer Kylie Minogue has rubbished reports that have labelled her a closet lesbian.

The 41-year-old Aussie pop star, who is also an international gay icon, claims the interview that sparked the speculation "never happened".

Minogue took to Twitter to blast claims that she was a "sexual exhibitionist" who was "attracted to women", based on a story in Mad Mexico magazine.

"Re Recent 'News' ... OMG such a load of hype and nonsense ... misquotes and an interview that never HAPPENED!!! Grrrrr!!!," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as writing.

Mallika's brother stops her from stripping

Mallika Sherawat’s older brother, Vikram Lamba, got a little protective of his younger sister on the sets of Hissss. He blasted the crew for making Mallika wear a skin-coloured, flimsy bikini.

The shot was being done on a dark, cold night. Director Jennifer Lynch’s plan was to take Mallika’s close-ups and full body shots of a naked body double. Mallika had to lean on a branch.

However, Vikram, one of the producers of the film, walked in and shouted at the crew to stop the shooting. The body double ran off to the vanity van while Vikram exploded and told the crew members that Mallika would not wear such a bikini.

Vikram’s co-producer on the film, Govind Menon, tried to make Vikram understand but the latter remained stubborn. The shooting came to a halt for more than two hours as the producers fought.

While Mallika told her brother that she was ok with the outfit, he still didn’t relent. It was only when her bikini was replaced by a longer, skin-coloured bikini which was better than the previous one that he finally agreed.

Though Rakesh Rathore, the executive producer of the film, denies such an incident, it has been confirmed by sources.

Ladkiyan khule-aam choli utar rahi hai why pick on me

Rakhi Sawant has given the censor-board a week to explain what she considers their irrational decision to ban her song.

“I'll wait for a week and then I go on a bhookh hartaal in front of the censor office, ” warns Rakhi.

Rakhi Sawant ko gussa kyon aata hai? It's the kameena ways of the moral police. The always-in-the-news actress is excessively angry with the censor board.

“Fearlessly I've sent a legal notice to the censorboard. This is the first time something like this has happened. Others do chamchagiri of the censor board. Not me. I'm Rakhi Sawant. Main ishwar ki beti hoon.

The censor board has done me injustice by deleting the word Kamini from my song. I won't take it lying down. Dharmendra has been saying the word kaminey for years. Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminey came, were the censors asleep?

There're heroines doing love- making scenes with their bare backs showing. Bharadwaj's films invariably have characters mouthing maa-bahen galis. If Rakhi Sawant sings Kamini tera bhoot chad gaya re the censor board gets stung. The song has been produced by my company Faith Inc. and I'm being damaged.”

The argument that the word kamini is inappropriate on television holds no water for Rakhi.

“Kyon? In the trailers of Ishqiya they show Vidya Balan punch-drunk on television, and that too in a saree. Is that allowed in our culture?

Ladkiyan Khule-aam choli utaar rahi hai. What was Choli ke peeche kya hai? What were they asking? We all know what's behind the choli. If that can be airplayed for years why can't my song be telecast?”

Rakhi then takes off on television serials. “Look at serials like Uttaran, Bairi Piya and Bandini.Young girls are being shown getting raped and forced to marry under-age.

Women get married repeatedly, sometimes five times. Isn't this against the Indian laws? Isn't this against Indian culture? What is the censor board doing about such practices? Rakhi Sawant uses the word kamini and it becomes a dirty word. In serials we have men dragging their wives by their hair muttering.

'Kamini main tujhe chodunga nahin.' No one pays any attention. Why point a finger at me? Stop all the malpractice on television and I too will shut up.

We live in a corrupt and hypocritical democracy where the institutions appointed to monitor morality are bribed. Producers go with bulging suitcases and get their films passed. Aisa nahin chalega.”

I'll never be able to wear a bikini because I am fat, I am fat, I am fat

By Joginder Tuteja Flaunting one's body in a bikini is no more taboo in Hindi films, but new entrant Zarine Khan, who debuted with "Veer", says she would never be able to don a two-piece costume on screen.

In "Veer", the Mumbai girl was covered from head to toe throughout the film. But is she ready to play a chic urban girl and wear contemporary costumes in her future movies?

"I am more than willing to do so. What I am sure about though is that I would never be able to wear a bikini. That's because I am constantly thinking that I am fat, I am fat, I am fat. Till the time this voice reverberates inside my head, I will always be apprehensive, " Zarine told.

"I'm very conscious about my weight. In fact, during my school and college days, I used to weigh as much as 100 kilos. It's only now that I weigh a lot lesser. I want to play all kinds of roles and get into the kind of attire that a Hindi film heroine is required to wear.

"However, before that I will have to get rid of all the excess weight that I currently have on me. It's just a few more pounds to go and after that it should all be well, " said Zarine.

Zarine, who plays princess Yashodhara in "Veer" that has Salman in the lead role, understands that if she wants to be in the business of showbiz, she will need a good figure.

"Whatever role that I consent to play, it has to be done with dedication. However, I'm a new entrant and there are so many established actresses who are taking the size zero route.

Obviously, I can't beat them due to my body structure, but I wish to get into shape to the best of my ability, " she said.

Narrating her journey of weighty issues, Zarine said: "It was only after I started doing modelling that my weight went down by 40-45 kilos from an original 100.

I have a tendency to lose and put on weight. This is why while working on 'Veer', I was so happy. For a change no one was asking me to lose weight."

In "Veer" she was not required to look skinny; therefore she could even pile on chocolates.

"Why just chocolates? I also got to eat other junk stuff which I had to earlier sacrifice. Any actress would have thought 1, 000 times before eating the kind of things that I got on a platter on the sets of 'Veer'. Having said that, I had to be reasonably conscious about not becoming 100 kilos again. I was regular with my workouts to maintain a curvaceous body."

Zarine is now biding her time before she gets ready for her next venture.

"I am taking things slow and waiting for what best comes to me next. Industry has been supportive so far though I'm looking forward to something concrete. I'm taking things slow; there is no hurry, " she said.

Tooth Fairy

A clumsy fable populated with cloying kids and a predictable hold-on-to-your-dreams message, Tooth Fairy finds the guy formerly known as The Rock further solidifying his post-WWE persona as America's cuddliest muscleman. Dwayne Johnson stars as a cynical minor league hockey player nicknamed the Tooth Fairy (because he knocks out opponents' chops) who's transformed into an actual leave-the-cash-under-the-pillow pixie as punishment for nearly robbing his girlfriend's daughter of her childhood right to believe in magic. With his mighty thighs bulging through baby-blue tights, Johnson works his brawny appeal, but he labors for laughs. British comic Stephen Merchant (Extras), however, exudes an easier charm as a goofy fairyland caseworker who harbors big dreams of his own.

Extraordinary Measures

Extraordinary Measures is hardly an extraordinary movie. In fact, it's hard to believe that this schmaltzy film found its home on the big screen rather than the Hallmark Channel. But I dare you not to feel something at its conclusion. Just consider the material: Fed up with doctors prescribing a death sentence for his two children — who suffer from the rare and fatal Pompe disease — a proactive businessman (Brendan Fraser) teams up with a temperamental scientist (Harrison Ford) to develop a life-saving drug. The duo hit plenty of roadblocks along the way (lack of funding, power struggles, etc.), and spend much of the film in conference rooms discussing enzymes — unfortunately, not the most moviegoer-friendly fare. The leading men deserve far better than the ho-hum material they’re given (try not to cringe as Ford delivers the oddly placed line, ''I'm gonna go take a crap''). But Fraser works so hard playing a devoted dad, it's damn hard not to root for him.

Creation

People who invent something big and bold and earth-shattering — it could be the light-bulb, rock & roll, or the theory of evolution — tend to be powerful figures with implacable, high-and-mighty egos. That's one of the reasons we like watching dramatizations of their lives. But Creation, the story of Charles Darwin's struggle to bring his grand theory of evolutionary biology into being (survival of the fittest and all that), is one of those tepid, genteel biopics that's far too busy ennobling its hero to bother giving him any recklessly interesting personality traits. As Darwin, the normally fierce Paul Bettany comes off like a cringing, cowering country beadle right out of Dickens. He doesn't fight for his theory — he apologizes for it. Darwin knows all too well that the revolution he's creating undercuts the concept of creation at the heart of the Bible. His wife (Jennifer Connelly), however, is a devout Christian, and he spends the movie twisting his soul in knots to please her and everyone else.

Sticking true to his ideas has reduced Darwin to a quivering mass of ailments. But how did he devise those ideas in the first place? Creation is set in the late 1850s, when Darwin's conceptualization of evolutionary theory is already a done deal (though he still soaks bird carcasses in acid to study their skeletons). We're denied the pleasure of an ''Aha!'' moment — or, for that matter, any real explanation of Darwin's thought processes. The movie, directed by Jon Amiel (Entrapment) from a script by John Collee, is mostly
rudderless domestic strife. Darwin turned the world upside down, but there was more drama seeing Greg Kinnear play the inventor of the intermittent windshield wiper in Flash of Genius. As a form, the biopic needs to make the past feel like the present. It long ago evolved past waxwork tributes like Creation.

SRK is ready to wrestle

Of the many unique features Mannat boasts of, there is one that will totally ‘knock-out’ your imagination. There is an entire floor for the kids, and in the middle of it rests a gigantic wrestling ring.

During an interview with ZOOM at SRK’s abode, we spotted this awe-inspiring set-up, and for a few moments we were wondering if we should run for cover, too. Well, a superpower like SRK is not easy to fight, huh? We quickly asked SRK if that was his wrestling pad, and he clarified, “It is for my son. He has WWE matches with his friends here.”

Sigh! Now we could fearlessly fire any question at him. Well, not that SRK had anything to worry about; this super intelligent Khan is always ready with a ‘knock-out’ reply, anyways. As for wrestling, we think he enjoys that sport only at the box-office.

Deepika wants Salman!

She refutes talk that she has immersed herself neck-deep in work because she wants no time to think. Laughing aloud she says, “Love Aaj Kal is the second most successful film of 2009 after 3 Idiots. Saif Ali Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Dinesh Vijjan and I didn’t feel the need to put out advertisements in newspapers saying ours is one of the biggest hits simply because it is a huge hit. And, it so happens that by virtue of this super-hit, I’ve bagged some super duper assignments.”
This year will have Deepika in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se, Pradeep Sarkar’s next with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Farhan Akhtar’s Kartik Calling Kartik and Sajid Khan's Houseful.

Besides these she also starts work on a romantic film with Imran Khan produced by Kunal Kohli. “With so much happening, I’ve no time to even breathe,” says the actress, who in two years since her debut is knocking on the doors of Bollywood’s czarinas. “I’m so glad that I got this opporutnity to work with Ashutosh,” she says. “He is awesome.”

She is fortunate that her roles are also varied. If she will prance in a bikini around Akshay Kumar in Houseful, then she’ll probably walk away with top acting honours for her role as a revolutionary in Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se with Abhishek. In the midst of this packed action, is there anything more she’d like? “Well, I’d like to do a movie with Salman Khan,” she smiles. “And Aamir Khan too.” Ok, and now please don’t put her wish under a scanner and think she’s sending out coded messages to anyone out there.

After working with the top bracket — Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika would but naturally veer in the direction of Salman or perhaps even Aamir.

The Girl on the Train

A young woman chops her hair, slices at her skin, and scrawls swastikas in Magic Marker on her torso, then pretends that she was the victim of an anti-Semitic attack. The accusation, followed by the exposure of her lie, explodes into a media frenzy. André Téchiné's The Girl on the Train is based on an actual incident — a fabricated act of anti-Semitism that polarized France in 2004 — but Téchiné, the astringent director of Wild Reeds (1994), backs off from exploring any of the incident's most obvious ramifications. In The Girl on the Train, what do the French citizens make of this Tawana Brawley-style hoax? We haven't a clue. And why does the young woman, Jeanne (Émilie Dequenne), tell her lie in the first place?

Téchiné spends the opening hour of the movie setting up Jeanne as a Rollerblading, Bob Dylan-listening, underachieving  provincial princess who is far too close to her severe mother (Catherine Deneuve, turning off the charm), and who drifts into an affair with a sweet-talking jerk of a wrestler (Nicolas Duvauchelle). When the relationship falls apart — violently — Jeanne is lost, and after weeping at a Holocaust documentary on TV, she stages the fake attack. (And she isn't even Jewish.)

Émilie Dequenne, the stern young star of the Dardenne brothers' Rosetta (1999), now projects an eroticized bourgeois-feline narcissism reminiscent of Sandrine Bonnaire in the '80s. She's a captivating presence, but what Jeanne does never totally adds up, and there's no indication that Téchiné intends it to; he wants the audience to fill in the blanks of her motivation. That puts us in a rather squirmy position, since Jeanne's lie has a racial-political dimension that we're barely even asked to acknowledge. Téchiné has made a half-captivating, half-baffling tease of a movie in which one woman's destructive whim has the effect of making anti-Semitism look like a myth. It's a distortion that Téchiné, with a passivity bordering on perversity, does nothing to dispel.

Sweetgrass (Movie Review)

This slyly transcendental documentary consists of long, mostly wordless takes of sheep, cowboys, and the divine Montana mountains they wander through for 200 miles. Sweetgrass is austere enough to make Frederick Wiseman's films look like Jersey Shore episodes, yet it has its own suspense: It's there in the movements of the flock, seen at a God's-eye distance, and in the cranky grace of the cowboys, one of whom is such a cusser he could make Sarah Silverman blush.

The Book of Eli

The clouds are gray, the scorched earth is gray, and the age-old nuclear ash falling from the sky is gray. If you look closely at Denzel Washington, as he saunters in slow motion through a bombed-out hotel lobby full of rotten-toothed ruffians, you can see that his hair and beard are flecked with gray as well. Is it just our imagination, or is the aridly desolate post-apocalyptic road movie showing its age? In the last 35 years or so, there have been an awful lot of them, going back to A Boy and His Dog (1976) and, of course, The Road Warrior (1982) — the greatest of all futuristic wasteland thrillers — and, most recently, The Road. I'm not sure if anyone was clamoring for another one of these films just now, but one thing is certain: We don't need The Book of Eli, a ponderous dystopian bummer that might be described as The Road Warrior without car chases, or The Road without humanity.

What's left? A lot of wide-open barren desert space shot from music-video angles (think the Red Hot Chili Peppers' ''Give It Away''). The directors, Allen and Albert Hughes, do their best to make the landscape threatening by filling it with a token sprinkle of homicidal bikers and cannibals, plus Gary Oldman as an evil ringleader whose scariest aspect is his harshly photographed skin. Roving through it all is Washington's Eli, a monosyllabic lone gunslinger in a signature outfit of sunglasses, kaffiyeh, and knapsack packed with lethal blade. He's a mystical avenger who has been wandering through the wilderness for 30 years, toting a leather-bound King James Bible from which he plucks ominous quotes. He makes apocalyptic prophecy sound like a rerun.

I'd be willing to forgive The Book of Eli its portentous sins if it had kick-ass action scenes, and every so often Eli does slice and dice the stuffing out of half a dozen hooligans at once, or he presides over a gun battle in which the bullets clatter and echo with full-metal zing. But those are just about the only scenes in the movie that have a pulse. At their best, the Hughes brothers have been brilliant directors: Their first film, the 1993 mind-of-a-gangbanger classic Menace II Society (made when they were just 20), established them as visceral and psychological prodigies, and the criminally underrated From Hell (2001) was a gothic-shock serial-killer mystery that featured Johnny Depp in one of his finest performances. (Had he been the mainstream superstar he is today back when the film was released, it might have been a sensation.) The Book of Eli is the first Hughes brothers movie that feels stripped of drama, imagination, sensibility. Some may find the film worth sitting through simply for its final ''Whoa!'' of a twist, but the Hughes brothers direct most of it as if they were glorified end-of-the-world set decorators. The Book of Eli is like a movie based on a graphic novel you don't want to read.

The Spy Next Door

Jackie Chan's instincts, to segue into family comedy as he ages out of his Golden Age of Extreme Stunts, are sound; it's this particular family comedy that's lame. In The Spy Next Door, Chan plays Bob Ho, an undercover spy who masquerades as a dweeby pen salesman. Amber Valletta is Bob's suburban neighbor and girlfriend, a single mother of three kids who give Bob a hard time. Save room for some tediously cartoonish Russian spies, George Lopez as a cartoonish CIA boss, a shaggy Billy Ray Cyrus as a fellow spook, and a lot of perfunctory kid shenanigans. Under the circumstances, some characteristically inventive Chan martial arts choreography involving household objects — fridge, frying pan, pet turtle — is gratefully appreciated.

Aniston, Butler in a raunchy photoshoot

After sparking rumours of revived romance, Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston and Scottish actor Gerard Butler have set tongues wagging with a raunchy photo-shoot together.

The pair will appear on the cover of US fashion magazine W in its future edition. The pics, taken in the desert outside LA, reveal slender Aniston in skimpy underwear while burly Butler poses as a leather-clad New York policeman.

The 40-year-old former Friends star and The Ugly Truth star Gerard, also 40, put on a flirty display at the Golden Globes last weekend, fuelling speculation that time spent filming upcoming thriller The Bounty Hunter together has led to an off-screen affair.

And the images are sure to provoke yet more comparisons between Aniston and Jolie, who posed with Brad Pitt for the magazine in 2008.

“For two days Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler were in the desert outside LA creating these really hot pictures. The result is the raciest cover in the history of W. Those pictures of Brad and Angelina? Forget it,” the Daily Express quoted a source at the magazine as saying.

“Jen has a natural and effortless sexiness compared to Angelina’s very stylised look. And you have Gerry who is just the epitome of a manly man, dressed in a cop uniform. These photos will do nothing to quell the rumours of their romance – quite the opposite in fact,” the source added.

Jennifer Aniston's New Romance?

Jennifer Aniston was at the Golden Globe Awards dressed in an extremely elegant, very revealing (in the chest area) black gown that left everybody breathless. Including Gerard Butler.

The British actor just couldn't stop staring at Jen the entire night, which has sparked rumors that the two may be dating. Since Aniston and Butler filmed the movie The Bounty Hunter together, there's been more and more talk about the possibility of them being an item, and their body language while standing together presenting the award for Best Screenplay actually lead to it.

When asked, Jennifer Aniston didn't admit to her dating her co-star, but she wasn't exactly adamant either when she said: "Gerard and I are friends"... hmmm... friends with benefits, may be?

A friend of Jennifer told the press anonymously that "there's something going on, but I can't say much more."

Megan Fox Lingerie Pictures

Just when you thought you had seen the best of Megan Fox, Armani brings us something much, much better this winter: Megan Fox in lingerie.

Last October, twenty three year old Fox replaced Victoria Beckham as the face of Emporio Armani's lingerie line, and on her debuting campaign, the breathtakingly beautiful actress took almost everything off and kept just the sexiest lingerie on.

From lace to silk, in the new Emporio Armani catalog, you'll discover Megan dressed (barely) in soft, inviting panties and matching bras that will make any man's heart melt.

Regarding his tremendously smart decision of hiring the Tennessee native, Armani said: "Megan's young and sexy with a lot of spirit. Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans are all about a youthful attitude, so she's the perfect choice for the collections."

Christina Aguilera Cameltoe

Christina Aguilera, one of the most beautiful girls in the celebrity arena nowadays, is ready to take her artistic career to the next level: acting.

In addition to her sensual voice, her shapely body and gorgeous face, the blonde singer seems to also have an acting streak, and she's ready to exploit it by starring in the new movie Burlesque, currently being filmed in California.

Christina, who plays the role of Ali, a small town girl who moves to Los Angeles and starts working in a burlesque dancing club, is enjoying her first gig as an actress and has admitted that she "can get used to it".

Just like we could get used to seeing a Christina Aguilera cameltoe like this one every day! Chris was photographed yesterday outside the studio where Burlesque is filmed, dressed in tight leggings that hugged her pussy lips and showed a massive camel toe. Yummy!

Ashley Greene Bodypainted

Despite the current low temperatures that are affecting even Florida, South Beach is still the place to be this winter.

Mostly because you have hot chicks walking around the beach butt naked, yet pretending they're not. Take Ashley Greene, for instance.

For her recent appearance on SoBe magazine, this sexy brunette took everything off and allowed some very lucky dude to paint a few "swimsuits" on her 100% nude body. As a result, South Beach visitors and residents got an eyefull when an Ashley Greene nude and wet paraded her assets all over their beach.

The sassy star from the Twilight movies posed for the tabloid wearning just paint on her boobs, pussy and ass, and got a kick out of it, according to her interview for the magazine. It's such a shame the paint was waterproof, though!

'I fancy girls too' says Kylie Minogue

Pop princess Kylie Minogue has set a billion pulses racing by confessing that she fancies women.

The 41-year-old singer said that she has never had a lesbian relationship but is attracted to women, reported Sun online.

"I fancy girls too!..I have been attracted to some women. Although I have been attracted to women, I have never done anything with them," said Minogue in a interview to Spanish magazine Max Mexico.

The 'Chiggy Wiggy' singer who is dating Versace model Andres Velencoso, 31, said that she is a "natural flirt."

The confession comes after a string of stories linking Minogue with women.

Just three weeks ago she visited the 7th Heaven lapdancing club in the chic French Alpine resort of Chamonix.

British pole-dancers Faye O'Neill, 27, and Katrina Redfern, 20, told how the Australian beauty was "transfixed" as she watched them perform a sexy routine.

Minogue has also previously joked about becoming a lesbian because of her huge gay fan base, and admitted to being attracted to late US actress Tallulah Bankhead.

"I'd go gay for her. She was a fascinating and exotic woman. There was so much to admire about her. She lived life to the full, maybe a little too fully. I want to release the inner Tallulah in me," she had said.

Sandra Bullock needs alcohol to shoot steamy scenes

Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock, who was recently awarded best actress at the Golden Globe Award, says she is so scared of shedding her clothes on screen that she gets drunk before shooting for a steamy scene.

"The idea of showing my body in a film fills me with fear. To strip, I have to get drunk first," starpulse.com quoted her as saying.

Bullock recently gave $1 million to help the victims of Haiti's earthquake.

"I wanted to ensure that my donation would be used immediately to meet the needs of the Haitian people affected by this catastrophic event," she said.

Brangelina pull out from Golden Globes

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have pulled out of the Golden Globes award ceremony to avoid an encounter with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.

The Friends actress will be a presenter at the show and Pitt, 46, decided not to attend the awards even though his film Inglourious Basterds is a contender at the ceremony, reported US magazine.

Aniston, 40, who is single after splitting from singer John Mayer, had infamously run into her ex-husband during last year's Oscars.

Oscar telecasters panned to Brad and Angelina, nicknamed Brangelina by the tabloids, as a visibly nervous Aniston walked on stage and the couple looked on with bemused half-grins as she stuttered on stage.

Pitt and the Along Came Polly actress announced their split five years ago in January 2004, and the actor soon stepped out with his Mr and Mrs Smith co-star Jolie.

Since splitting Aniston has been linked to a number of men including actors Vince Vaughn, Gerard Butler and Bradley Cooper while Brangelina are now bringing up a family of six children.

Madonna planning baby with Jesus

Pop diva Madonna is trying for a baby with her lover, Brazilian model Jesus Luz who is 29 years younger than her.

The thesun.co.uk reports that the singer, who already has four kids, has consulted doctors about conceiving another child at the age of 51.

Madonna already has daughter Lourdes, 13, by Carlos Leon and son Rocco, 9, by ex-husband Guy Ritchie. She has also adopted Malawian kids David Banda and Mercy James, both four.

"She knows that, at 51, it's going to be harder to conceive naturally. But she is Olympic-athlete fit and is ready for the challenge," said a source.

The singer has been with Jesus for more than two years. She met him during a photo shoot in Brazil shortly after she divorced Ritchie.

"Jesus adores her kids but has always wanted a child of his own. He told Madonna that fatherhood would be his greatest adventure, and that he wanted to go on this journey with her," added the source.

Rihanna goes public with Matt Kemp romance

R &B star Rihanna has finally gone public about her romance with her newfound boyfriend Matt Kemp as the duo was spotted watching a basketball match together.

The 'Russian Roulette' singer and her baseball player beau seemed to have no qualms about being seen together in public as they enjoyed the game from the courtside on Saturday night, reported Aceshowbiz.

A newly blond Rihanna beamed for TV cameras when she was spotted sitting next to Kemp and at one point she even stood up to wave to fans. Meanwhile, Kemp just sat chuckling at all the attention.

"It was clear they're very much a couple. When the cameras weren't on them, they were very affectionate. There was no cuddling and kissing, but it was clear they're very fond of each other," said an eyewitness.

Their fling first hit the headlines over Christmas when the pair was spotted holidaying in Mexico together, and the 22-year-old singer has been seen with the Los Angeles Dodgers star many times since.

Sreeram collaborates with Fox Star Studios India's 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader' for a special sound track!

The magnum opus, 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader', which is all set to release in 3D, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu apart from English, now has an added attraction. The film will have a special song recorded by none other than Sreeram Chandra, the winner of Indian Idol 5! Sreeram is a professional singer from Hyderabad who won the hearts of millions during the Indian Idol contest with his melodious voice. In addition, he left the audiences mesmerized in his first live concert, aired on Sony entertainment channel, very recently.

Given his immense popularity, especially with the Indian youth, Sreeram has now been roped in by Fox Star Studios India in association with Sony Music, for a special song for Narnia 3 and that too in 3 languages- Hindi, Tamil and Telugu!

The song called 'Rehnuma', composed by Harpreet, will feature with the end credits of the respective language version of the film and will also have a special music video featuring Sreeram and clips from the film. This song is also a part of Sreerams first album "REHNUMA" released by Sony Music after his winning the prestigious title.

Mr. Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios India comments "Sreeram's fresh, youthful voice is a perfect match to the exciting and thrilling Narnia experience. It's undoubtedly a hit song !"

Shridhar Subramaniam, MD,Sony Music, India exclaims "Sreerams versatility and talent as a singer have taken him places including a mermerising performance at the closing ceremony of the Common Wealth Games 2010 where he enthralled the stadium and television audience alike. Sony music is proud to be associated with this collaboration with the Narnia film, through which an Indian artist receives an international performance platform. Cinema, as a medium, is not only larger than life but also a very encouraging space that gets etched in the pages of history and that is what particularly makes this all the more exciting".

This association is part of a unique initiative by Twentieth Century Fox - where as an industry first, a special song for the film is being recorded by several international artists for their respective country markets around the world! While American Idol winner, Multi-platinum selling recording artist, songwriter, and 5-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood has recorded the end title song, "There's a Place for Us," for the United States, Joe McElderry has recorded the song for the UK, and Swedish boy-band E.M.D. has recorded it for Sweden, etc...

For Sreeram, though, this alliance marks a bigger, double achievement as he is not only the only artiste from Asia collaborating with Fox for the film, but is now also the first ever Indian artiste to have his song featured in a Hollywood film!

Sreeram, on his part, is ecstatic - "Indian Idol was a dream come true and now 'Rehnuma' in Narnia 3 is like magic unfolding right in front of my eyes. I am delighted, honoured and humbled to have this opportunity. Now, of course, it all depends on how well the audience accepts and responds to our endevaour. The final verdict, as always, is theirs!".

The keenly awaited third installment in the immensely popular Narnia series, 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader', is steadily gaining momentum for its 3rd December release in India.

Eddie still refuses to see his daughter

Former Spice girl Melanie Brown believes her two-year-old daughter Angel Iris could never be close to her dad Eddie Murphy since he refuses to meet the girl.

Brown had become the subject of much tabloid gossip in 2006 after she had a fling with the Murphy and fell pregnant with his child.

However, alter the couple’s break-up, the Nutty Professor star refused to own the child, unless a DNA test proved he was her dad.

And Brown says Murphy has no plans to meet the child.

"I have full custody of Angel and that''s about it. He (Eddie) doesn''t see her, doesn''t want to see her. That''s just the way it is. She''s very content. She doesn''t know any different," the Daily Star quoted her as telling Hello! Mag.

I dont dress for fashion police

Bond girl Eva Green is known for her quirky sense of style and the Hollywood beauty says that she dresses up for herself, not the fashion police.

The French actress who is often slated for her eccentric choices said that she does not regret wearing any of the outfits that have brought her criticism, reported Times online.

"I never regret anything I wear, it's simply not worth it. Some people think that the way I dress is over the top and a bit eccentric, but I'm just having fun and dressing up for myself," said the BAFTA winning actress.

Unlike other Hollywood beauties who collect shoes and bags, the 'Casino Royale' actress has a fetish for silk scarves and loves vintage dressing.

"I loved all my costumes in Cracks (her new film). I'm crazy about that everyday Thirties look. I wore beautiful high-waisted trouser suits, head scarves and gorgeous printed silks. I have more scarves than any one else I know," said Green.

The actress loves fashion but dislikes the pressure it puts on people to look thin.

"I don't like the pressure for everyone, including men, these days to be really thin," said Green.
