Brad and Angelina's Night of Indulgence

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie unleashed their artsy side with a private tour of the MOCA in Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday evening, but peaced out before the gala reception had really even got underway. And it seems Hollywood's hottest couple let the real fun begin inside their room at The Standard Downtown a few hours later.

We're told Brangelina didn't put any diva like displays as they drove themselves to the hotel (no security) and entered through the loading dock to avoid any possible craziness before hibernating in their room.

"They just kept ordering room service," dished our insider. "Everyone was shocked, they ordered so much food and just kept calling up and ordering more and more.”

And no, they weren't feeding their ever-flourishing family of six children. It was apparently just the two of them and they were having quite the party.

"Brad seemed like he'd had a few too many," added our source. "He seemed very buzzed bouncing around while Angelina remained pretty quiet."

And despite rumors of a rocky romance, we're told the couple seemed very relaxed in their time together with no signs of any tension.

Bollywood Barbie

It seems as if Katrina Kaif cannot take a wrong step these days. Riding high on the success of her film 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani', Bollywood queen Kaif is about to be immortalised as a Barbie doll.

To mark its fiftieth year, toy brand Mattel has designed a Barbie with kaif’s face. The Kat doll will be hitting stores in India in December this year. 'Every girl has grown up playing with Barbie dolls, and so have I. It feels great,' says Kaif, who hasn’t had time to see her doll yet.
Kaif is the first Indian celebrity to be designed as a Barbie doll, reports Newspostonline.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first celebrity who was approached to be the face of the international doll, but she declined the offer

Rihanna at the Brixton Academy, SW9

Rihanna unveiled a handful of songs from her new album, Rated R, at an exclusive launch event in London that was simultaneously streamed worldwide courtesy of her corporate sponsors Nokia. Although more of a live media showcase than a proper gig, the Barbadian star performed with a full band and a pair of wraith-like backing singers for 40 minutes on an elaborate stage design that looked like a futuristic TV scrapyard.

Semi-dressed in a black bathing costume decorated with some spangly straps and epaulettes, and with her hair swept into a lopsided, space-age bouffant, the singer posed aggressively at the front of the stage during the opening bars of Mad House. With her eyes encased in a pair of wraparound shades, all she needed was a whip and a pair of handcuffs to complete the alien dominatrix look as she waded into a pulverising version of Wait Your Turn, a forthcoming single from the new album.

This was her first show since allegedly being assaulted this year by her former boyfriend, the singer Chris Brown, and it was plain to see that Rihanna has come back from that ordeal stronger than ever. Although clearly the injured party, she is not a person or performer who is about to embrace victim status in a hurry. While the lyrics of her current hit, Russian Roulette, betrayed emotions of fear and uncertainty, there was an Amazonian quality to her performance of the song that banished any possible doubts about her personal determination and resilience.

If anything, the arena-rock strength of the backing band and the unyielding quality of her voice were a little overwhelming as she combined elements of Madonna, Beyoncé and the young Tina Turner into a performance of furious, yet strangely pneumatic brio. The 21-year-old certainly seemed determined to prove that she is the new lioness on the block, and perhaps she is.

The pace slowed briefly for a piano-led version of Take a Bow which segued into a distended, almost prog-rock arrangement of Disturbia. But it was quickly back to the tough stuff for Hard, during which she was joined by the bling-encased rapper Young Jeezy, who barked out the end of the song like an attack dog.

Her mentor Jay-Z arrived on stage to an enormous cheer, and the pair embarked on a boisterous run through of their hit Run This Town, followed by a triumphant finale of Rihanna’s signature song Umbrella. As ever, several people in the crowd miraculously produced umbrellas, but even they were afforded scant shelter from the sparkling confetti that rained down from the ceiling.

Rated R is released on November 23. Rihanna appears on The X Factor on November 29

Kareena doesn't want mom to see her love-making scene in 'Kurbaan'

Kareena Kapoor's lovemaking scene in Kurbaan with her boyfriend Saif Ali Khan has been the talking point for months on end. Even on their recent show Date with Kurbaan on national television, Karan Johar who is the producer of the film asked Kareena pointblank whether she would have done such an intimate scene with any of her other male co-stars. And Kareena replied that she may have done it but it wouldn't be quite as explicit as it is now.
She also said that the reason why she agreed to do it was because it was integral to the script and that she was happy that director Rensil D'Silva had done it so aesthetically. She added that knowing Saif in real life made things just a wee bit easy. “But at the end of day, Saif and I are professional actors and would do whatever a script demands from us,” she said.

Having said all this, one would have thought that the reigning Bollywood diva would be blasé about the whole affair. However, news has it that after watching the cast and crew trial of Kurbaan at Yash Raj Studios on November 12, Kareena, who was very nervous about the bare-back scene, actually put in a request to her friend and film-maker Karan Johar asking him to delete the lovemaking scene in just the one show which would be attended by her mother Babita and her friends.

A nervous Bebo wasn't sure how her mother would react to seeing her do something so bold on-screen. She admitted that she was indeed nervous of her mother's reaction. “I asked Karan if he could hide that one reel only from mom's trial,” said the young actress.

However, Karan is said to have pacified his lead actor and told her she has no reason to be afraid. Karan is also said to have told her in jest, “Shut up Bebo, and go take a walk. I'm doing no such thing.”

Kareena is of course in Sydney at this point shooting for Karan's Step Mom with Kajol. But those close to her say that right till the time she boarded her flight, the thing that topped her mind was how her immediate family would react to this one scene in Kurbaan.

Guess the physical distance between Mumbai and Sydney will help ease Bebo's nervousness.

I hope Peter's watching

Katie Price has said she hopes Peter Andre will watch I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and see "the girl he married".
Price, who entered the jungle earlier this week, said of her ex-husband: "Hopefully he'll watch the show and realise what a decent person I am.
"The girl he married, not the monster that's been created in the press."
Speaking to OK! magazine, she continued: "The weird thing is that the Palazzo Versace hotel where all the contestants stay is about 10 minutes from where Pete's family live.
"I hope they watch the show too and think, that is the Kate we all know."
Price, who previously took the part in the show in 2004, meeting and falling in love with Andre, also told how she became upset at trying on her jungle kit again.
She told the magazine: "I looked at myself in the mirror and first of all I felt really excited, but then I was quite sad.
"It brought back so many memories of Pete. It just hit me and I suddenly felt so upset about the way things turned out."
