She beats the likes of Megan Fox and Halle Berry

More than forty-five years ago, Swiss actress Ursula Andress donned a bikini for the Bond film Dr. No co-starring Sean Connery. That Bikini-clad cameo is still unmatched according to a latest survey of a thousand women. The poll was conducted to mark the 60th anniversary of the bikini’s entry into the American fashion (in 1949).

Ursula Andress (in the pic), the Golden Globe winning actress who became a sort of sex symbol in 1960s, topped the poll. Her two-piece outfit was also voted the most iconic bikini ever.

Shapely model Kelly Brook came second for her holiday pictures in bikini, while Brigitte Bardot, who earned the nickname The Bikini Girl in the early sixties, took the third spot.

A surprising inclusion in the list was that of the 64-year-old Helen Mirren whose recent holiday snaps in a bikini became quite a rage.

Halle Berry came fifth for her bikini scene as the Bond girl in Die Another Day; Myleene Klass came sixth for her eye-popping bikini in the show ‘I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here’.

Elle Macpherson was named the seventh hottest bikini babe for the Sports Illustrated cover. Megan Fox, the pin-up girl of many, was surprisingly eighth while Gisele Bundchen took the ninth spot for her fashion shoots.

Jessica Alba rounded off the top ten for her magazine photos.

The results of the survey indicate that women with curvy and rounded bodies look hotter in bikinis than the pencil thin models.
