Salman Khan's action bonanza continues to attract crowd at ticket windows, as it collects Rs 47.5-48.5 crore in three days since its release, reports Bollywood Hungama.
Trade expert Taran Adarsh writes on his Twitter page, "Business is noteworthy because unlike other biggies, the ticket rates were not hiked to capitalize on the craze of the film."
The film is said to be drawing huge crowds in both single screens and multiplexes. The movie has emerged as the biggest opener ever, beating the opening business of 3 Idiots (41 crore).
But experts warn the business might slow down once the frenzy is over.
“We presumed that the film would only excite the masses, but surprisingly it’s done as well with the classes. It’s picking up well, but expecting a phenomenon like 3 Idiots is a bit far fetched. In fact, Dabangg’s best days are over. I doubt it will be able to sustain in the second week,” says Gautam Dutta of PVR Cinemas.
“We are running as high as 16-18 shows per day right now, but the film won’t gain any more momentum once the frenzy is over,” says Shirish Handa of Fun Cinemas.
