Bollywood’s Best Debutants of 2010

In 2010, some fresh faces from South India, models and a daughter of a famous superstar debuted with varied responses to their movies and performances. Let us go through some of the debutants that graced 2010 and see how they performed:

Sonakshi Sinha: Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of superstar Shatrughan Sinha, is definitely the discovery of the year. Being a part of the second biggest Bollywood grossers of all time, Dabangg, Sonakshi was a delight to watch. She matched the persona of ’Lajjo’ very well, and held her own against superstar Salman Khan, who was the biggest reason for the movie’s blockbuster status.

Ranveer Singh: Though there were not many boys who debuted in 2010, one of the best talents that hit like fresh wave in this entertainment horizon is none other than Ranveer Singh. He was fabulous in Band Baaja Baarat and has impressed many with his range of histrionics.

Barbara Mori: This Mexican dish was definitely tempting; a charming beauty; she looked ravishing in Kites. Though the movie flopped, Barbara Mori was accepted well by the audiences.

Trisha: Trisha Krishnan, one of the biggest female superstars of the South, debuted in Khatta Meetha. Not exactly a good role for a debut, Trisha didn’t leave a mark like she should have

Aruna Shields: Aruna Shields debuted with Prince and then followed it up with another movie, Mr. Singh and Mrs. Mehta where she was nude in a couple of scenes. She does have a good screen presence though she has to improve on her acting.

Priyamani: Priyamani, another famous South Indian award winning actress, debuted with a small role in Raavana and had another inconsequential role in Rakta Charitra 2.
