Sofia Vergara 'takes advantage of sex appeal'

Sofia Vergara has admitted that she doesn't mind the attention she receives because of her appearance.

The Modern Family actress, who was recently announced as the new face of CoverGirl cosmetics, told Fox News that she relishes her sex appeal as she gets older and feels that it helps her career.

"I love it. Of course - it's great at my age. I think that everything that is positive and good helps out with your career. Why not embrace it and take advantage?" the 39-year-old said.

Asked how she maintains her looks, Vergara responded by insisting that she does not believe in restricting herself or becoming too obsessed with staying thin.

"Everything in moderation. Not too much food, not too much exercise, not too much anything. Everything in moderation," she said.

"And of course, wearing sun block, doing the things that your dermatologist tells you to do - that helps with the aging process."

Vergara previously expressed frustration over claims that photos for her Pepsi ads had been photoshopped to make her appear thinner.

She was recently nominated for a 2011 Primetime Emmy Award in the 'Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy' category for her work on Modern Family. Sofia Pictures Gallery
