Simon is still a bad boy

Paula Abdul has said that she believes Simon Cowell will be a good husband to fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy.

The 47-year-old admitted that Cowell's engagement came as a surprise and insisted that it is "left to be determined" whether the record mogul will soften up once he is married.

"I know Simon so well and honest to God, I think he's at that stage in his life where he's a grown-up Simon now, making him a great and loving husband," Abdul explained to People.

"But he still has that little bad boy in him."

She added: "It took me about 12 days to take my jaw off the ground and put it back up [after I found out].

"But Mezghan is a lovely girl and I've known her for a long time. They make a great couple and I'm happy for them."

Abdul recently revealed that she thinks American Idol will continue to be successful even after Cowell's departure.

Juicy Offer for Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul raised a lot of eyebrows when she turned down a $2-million-dollar offer to be a host in Dancing with the Stars.

But good things may still be coming her way. ABC has offered her $1 million dollars to bring back the classic TV talent contest Star Search. If Paula is to accept this offer, she will be not only one of the judges on the show, but also the host.

This deal may not be as juicy money wise as the one from Dancing with the Stars, but it certainly raises her from a mere judge to the main star of a program where she'd be literally "running the show".
