Ben Kingsley unveiled his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.
The actor's star was the 2,410th given out by the Hollywood Historic Trust, reports The AP.
"Dear friends, standing here today amongst you is one of the many things I thought growing up in England would never happen to me and it has and I'm thrilled," he said.
Kingsley, 66, has had many notable achievements, including a 1983 Oscar for his performance in Ghandi and a 2002 knighting by Queen Elizabeth II.
The ceremony was attended by Kingsley's wife and fans, as well as actor Bruce Willis.
