Michaels feels 'awesome' back on stage

Bret Michaels has said that it is an "awesome feeling" to be back on stage.

The Celebrity Apprentice winner, who was hospitalised last month after suffering a brain haemorrhage, performed last night against his doctor's wishes at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

According to People, he told the crowd: "I've got a little bitty hitch in my left giddy up, but I think we'll be all right. It's an awesome feeling, I'm glad to be here."

The 47-year-old entertained the audience with '80s Poison hits such as 'Talk Dirty To Me', 'Unskinny Bop' and the ballad 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn'.

Michaels will next be seen in his upcoming VH1 reality show Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It.
