Lady GaGa signs Armani costume deal

Lady GaGa has signed a deal with Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani.
The singer, who wore a dress made of meat at this month's MTV Video Music Awards, has reportedly finalised a multi-million dollar arrangement which will see the design powerhouse create costumes for her upcoming 'Monster Ball' tour in December.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Roberta Armani, head of VIP relations at the label, said: "A huge company like Giorgio Armani has the duty to always be alert to trends and what appeals to young people.

"It helped to see how the world is through Lady GaGa, the way she uses Facebook and Twitter."

Roberta added that GaGa was the only celebrity that had received a specifically-designed Armani gown, which she wore at this year's Grammy Awards ceremony.

She explained: "It wouldn't be possible to give GaGa a look from the collection because she wears pieces of art."
