'My Name is Khan' releasing in South Korea this week

Shah Rukh Khan starrer "My Name is Khan" has yet not exhausted exploring every possible market across the globe and its distributor, Fox Star Studios, said Wednesday the film will be opening this weekend in South Korea.

"Recently a new market has opened up in South Korea and we are releasing the film there this weekend with 300 prints," Vijay Singh, chief executive officer of Fox Star Studios revealed at the FICCI-Frames conference here Wednesday.

Directed by Karan Johar "My Name is Khan" revolves around Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh), a Muslim from Mumbai who suffers from Asperger syndrome, a form of autism.

Rizwan marries a Hindu single mother Mandira (Kajol) in San Francisco. But post 9/11, Rizwan is detained by authorities at the Los Angeles International Airport, mistaking his disability for "suspicious" behaviour.

Released last year Feb 12, "My Name is Khan" boasts to be the highest grossing Bollywood film overseas.

"It has earned a staggering USD 23 million overseas till now," said Singh.
